1.0 Introduction

Wag2Whiskers LLC (“Wag2Whiskers”, “W2W”, “us”, “we”, or “our”) operates www.Wag2Whiskers.com and related mobile applications (the “Site”). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Site.

We use your Personal Information only for providing and improving the Site. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.

Wag2Whiskers  is committed to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and security of any personal information about our Clients. This Privacy and Security Policy explains how we protect personal information provided through our Site and how we use that information in connection with our service offered through the Site (the “Service”). “Personal information” for purposes of this Policy means information that identifies you, such as your name, address, phone number, fax number or email address.  “Client Data” for purposes of this Policy means information and data added to the Client’s instance including pets, pet activities, photos and videos, records , and competition activities.   If you create a user account, whether temporary or subscription, we will collect Personal Information, Business Information, and Client Data you enter.  If you purchase a subscription or other services, we will ask you to provide your physical address and credit card details so that we can process your payment.

Wag2Whiskers  stresses its privacy and security standards to guard against identity theft and provide security for your personal information as is reasonably required with best available technologies. We regularly re-evaluate our privacy and security policies and adapt them as necessary to deal with new challenges.

2.0 Your Privacy

Simply put, we do not and will not sell or rent your Personal or Business Information to anyone, for any reason, at any time. Wag2Whiskers   uses and discloses your Personal and Business Information only as follows:

  • to provide the Service, including to process your payment;
  • to analyze site usage and improve the Service;
  • for internal system administration;
  • to respond to your direct questions about the Service;
  • to deliver to you any administrative notices, reports, reminders, health alerts and communications relevant to your use of the Service;
  • to fulfill your requests for certain products and services;
  • for market research, project planning, troubleshooting problems, detecting and protecting against error, fraud or other criminal activity;
  • to third-party contractors that provide services to Wag2Whiskers and are bound by these same privacy restrictions;
  • to enforce Wag2Whiskers’s Terms of Service; and
  • as otherwise set forth in this Privacy Policy.

Minors Under 18. Wag2Whiskers cares about protecting the privacy of minors. We will not knowingly allow anyone under the age of 18 to provide us any personally identifying information online. Minors should always get permission from their parents before sending any personal information about themselves (such as their names, email addresses, and phone numbers) over the Internet, to us or to anyone else. If you’re under 18, please do not register for any of our Services or provide us with any personally identifying information.  Parents or other supervising adults that allow minors to access Wag2Whiskers through their Wag2Whiskers account, must supervise all minor activities within their Wag2Whiskers account.

 
3.0 Collection and Use of personal information

Certain areas and features of the Site are available to you without registration or the need to provide to us any information. Several features of the Site or the Service may require registration, which involves provision to Wag2Whiskers of an email address, a password and a username (collectively the “Registration Information”). In order to benefit from the full functionality of the Service, you also may provide information on your pet,records, and your third-party service providers.

Wag2Whiskers may take anonymous or aggregate personal information and disclose such data only in a non-personally identifiable manner to:

  • Organizations approved by Wag2Whiskers that conduct research into activities, health, activities surrounding pets and pet management; 
  • Potential third-party service providers that we may want to integrate into the Wag2Whiskers platform in the future, and
  • Users of the Service for purposes of providing best practices to the broader community for pet management  and care. 

Such information does not identify you individually. Access to your Registration Information, pet information, and any other personal information you provide is strictly restricted and used in accordance with specific internal procedures and safeguard governing access, in order to operate, develop or improve the Service. 

Any additional users who have access to your pets, clients, and Wag2Whiskers interface have been selected in accordance with our security policies and practices and are bound by confidentiality obligations. They may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.

4.0 Changes to your Registration Information

If your Registration Information changes during your subscription to Wag2Whiskers, you may update it any time via the Service.

5.0 Session Information

Wag2Whiskers and our subcontractors may collect certain information automatically when you use our Services, including:

  • Your browser type, language, plug-ins, Internet domain and operating system;
  • Your Internet Protocol (IP) address (a numerical address assigned to your computer by your Internet service provider so that other computers connected to the Internet can communicate with you online) that can sometimes be used to derive your general geographic area;
  • The average time spent on our Site
  • Your navigation through our Site
  • The site you visited before visiting www.Wag2Whiskers.com and the site you visited after visiting www.Wag2Whiskers.com;
  • Web pages and advertisements you view and links you click on while navigating within our Services;
  • Unique identifiers, including mobile device identification numbers, that can identify the physical location of such devices in accordance with applicable law;
  • Information collected through cookies, web beacons and other tracking technologies (see additional descriptions of these terms below);
  • Information about your interactions with our video content, such as the type of content viewed on our Services;
  • Information about your interactions with our email messages, such as the links you click on and whether you open or forward a message; the date and time of these interactions and the device you use to read emails; and standard server log information;
  • Information related to custom content you may enter.   

This information may be used, for example, to alert you to software compatibility issues, or it may be analyzed to improve our Web design and functionality.

The Site may set and access cookies on your computer, tablet, or phone to track and store preferential information about you. Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer’s hard drive.

Third-party companies that provide some of the tools and features accessible through our Services and advertisers and other companies involved in the delivery of the advertisements that you see while using our Services and other websites also may place cookies within your browser. We do not have access to these cookies and do not control how they may be used. You can set your browser to accept or reject most cookies, or to notify you when a cookie is set.

You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Site.

Wag2Whiskers may use web beacons and/or similar technology to help us measure and analyze Site usage and activity to improve the Service. Web beacons (sometimes called “transparent GIFs,” “clear GIFs,” or “pixel tags”) embed a small graphic image (usually invisible) on a web page or in an email. When your browser downloads a web beacon, the server that sends the corresponding image to your browser can recognize and store certain types of information such as cookies previously set, the time and date that you viewed the page embedded with the beacon and a description of that page. We use web beacons to improve your experience using our Services, including by providing you with content, advertising and offers customized to your interests, and to understand whether our users read email messages and click on links contained within those messages.

Certain mobile devices, including smart phones and tablet devices, contain unique device IDs that can be used to identify their physical location. Mobile devices also typically transmit caller ID data (which may include a phone number) when used to transmit a telephone call or text message. When you use mobile devices to access our Services, we may collect and transmit unique device IDs and collect caller ID data, information about your wireless carrier, the make, model and operating system of your device and information about how you navigate within our Service. With your consent, we also may use precise geolocation technology such as GPS or WiFi triangulation to collect information about the exact location of your mobile device. We use this information to provide you the content and services you request, tell you about offers we think you will value, and improve your experience using our mobile applications and other Services.

You can access various social network posting and sharing tools through our Services that are operated by third parties, including a “share” button that allows you to post links to content and features that you believe will be of interest to others on your social network pages. When you use one of these sharing tools, the third-party company that operates the tool may be collecting information about your browser, device and online activity through its own tracking technologies and subject to its own separate privacy policy, which may differ from ours.

We may use and permit third party service providers to use cookies, web beacons, and other technologies to help Wag2Whiskers analyze certain online activities, such as the ones described previously. We do not share any personal information about our customers with these third-party service providers, and these service providers do not collect such information on our behalf. Our third-party service providers are required to comply fully with this Privacy and Security Policy.

6.0 Your Client Data

You own your Client Data and can add, modify or remove it at any time. When you request us to delete your account for the Service, your data will be permanently expunged from our primary production servers and further access to your account will not be possible. We will no longer contact any of your third-parties identified in your profile.  Note that if Client Data is permanently expunged from our primary production servers, it may exist on backup files, but will not be restored, even if a backup file is accessed.

7.0 Wag2Whiskers Communications

With the nature of the Service, you may want to receive reminder alerts from Wag2Whiskers regarding pet activities.   The frequency and recipient of these reminders will be set up in your profile and can be changed as you use the Service.   Additionally, from time to time we may provide our Clients with email alerts or email newsletters. Wag2Whiskers subscribers have the ability to opt-out of receiving our emails by following the instructions in the emails. Opting out in this manner will not end transmission of service-related emails, such as email reminder alerts.

8.0 Wag2Whiskers Chat

We welcome you to communicate with other users via our Chat at www.wag2whiskers.com or communication about Wag2Whiskers using other social media vehicles.  If you comment via our Chat on our Site or on other social media vehicles, you should be aware that any information you submit there can be read, collected or used by other users and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the personal information you choose to submit in these forums.  WAG2WHISKERS IS NOT LIABLE, AND YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO MAKE ANY CLAIN WHATSOEVER AND AGREE TO HOLD WAG2WHISKERS HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFY WAG2WHISKERS FOR ANY DAMAGES, WHATSOEVER, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO ANY ADVICE OR ACTION TAKEN BY YOU IN RELIANCE ON ANY INFORMATION PLACED ON SUCH FORUMS OR CHATS BY THIRD-PARTIES.

9.0 Data Security and Encrypted Communications

Our servers are in a secure facility. We use a combination of firewall barriers, encryption techniques and authentication procedures, among others, to maintain the security of your online session and to protect Wag2Whiskers accounts and systems from unauthorized access. All backup drives and tapes also are encrypted.

From the time you submit your Login ID and Password, the communications between you and Wag2Whiskers are encrypted. This enables client and server application communications to minimize eavesdropping, tampering and message forgery.

Our databases are protected from general employee access both physically and logically. We transmit information, such as your Registration Information, securely. We encrypt your Service password so that your password cannot be recovered, even by us. No employee may put any sensitive content on any insecure machine.

The security of your Personal and Business Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal and Business Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

By accepting the benefits of use of Wag2Whiskers , you agree to waive any rights you may have for any action, whatsoever, to pursue such action as a member of any class or collective action.  You waive the right to participate in any settlement resulting from any such action.

10.0 Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is effective as of the date last revised at the top of the Policy and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page.

We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.

If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you either through the email address you have provided us, or by placing a prominent notice on our website.
